I got to see my favorite band of all time...Backstreet Boys...perform live in concert in Dubai!
What made it even more special was that last night was their 25th anniversary as a band!
Ever since I was really young, the first music video I remember seeing was Get Down...and since then, I have been a huge fan of Backstreet Boys...My room was decorated from floor to ceiling with BSB posters, I had every album ever released (still do), I had a necklace with letters that spelled 'Backstreet Boys', T-shirts...you name it, I had it.
I even once dreamt that they came to my birthday party.... this will have to remain a dream though...(sigh)

On July 29th, I had my bags ready, passport in hand and was off to the airport to spend three wonderful weeks in beautiful NYC.

Finding an apartment was not as easy as I imagined it would be...My company provided accommodation for my first month in the country, but after that month was over I had to find another place to stay. I couldn't move into an apartment right away, as I had to wait until my residency permit was issued; so the best option was to stay at a hotel. So after the first month was over, I moved to a hotel opposite the one I was staying at for another month.
The search for an apartment was not an easy task...I felt like …
