Hello :) :) :)

Hello :)

It's been a really really really long time since I've updated my blog! The last time I wrote was over two months ago when I was in Beirut...so from where should I start?

After I got back from my business trip/vacation, I pretty much lived at the office, working for 10-12 hours a day and during my lunch hour. This phase started back in January and lasted until the end of March. I really started hating my job, the entire advertising industry and most importantly my clients. I've been stressed out to the point where the stress started affecting my health. I started getting a rash whenever I ate anything or felt a tiny bit stressed, my eye sight worsened, thinking about work 24/7, feeling guilty about going home at the end of the day after working long hours, feeling guilty for not working during the weekends and constantly checking my work cellphone. I've been having dreams about work, media plans and requests from clients to the point where I would wake up in the middle of the night and just think about work stuff.

Towards the end of March, I took (a much needed) break from work when one of my best friends came to town from Beirut. It was an amazing vacation! This was the best 5 day vacation I have ever spent without traveling out of the country. I've missed her, even though I saw her when I was in Beirut in February.

So what else is new?...

One of my best friends from high school left country and moved to Abu Dhabi for good. We've been friends for 14 years...since 8th grade. In high school we were 4 best friends, spending every weekend together, going to McDonalds and the movies. Those were wonderful days...I remember once back in 11th grade we were sitting in McDonalds after school and we were wondering where would we be in 10 years...and now 10 years later, I really didn't imagine myself working in advertising, or that one of my friends would be living in a different country... I wish I could go back to those simple days where we had nothing to worry about and no stress. Life was much easier 10 years ago...

Oh! I didn't tell you about the complete stranger who spent one night in our house! Well, my mom's friend's son was traveling and had to stay for one night in town. Since he's never been here and doesn't know anyone in town, my mom offered to let him stay in our house for the night. He was a really sweet, really good looking priest who came all the way from San Diego. We took him out for dinner and showed him around town. Anyway, in the morning he had to leave to continue his journey where he will be preaching with a group of people.

Last but not least, I've been stuck on level 23 in Candy Crush for the past 5 days. I'm going to go try my luck again :)

Goodbye xoxoxoxo
