I Hate That Building Down That Street....

A few days ago, my uncle and I were taking a family friend who came from abroad to a certain store as she needed to get some things. Anyway, I didn't really know where the store was located, but I knew I hated that street...or actually, I hated a certain building down that street...it was the cancer center where my dad passed away.

As I said, I didn't really know where the store was located, and I didn't know where we were going to make U-turn as the store was on the other side. As we neared the U-turn, that familiar grey and white building came into view, with the words 'Cancer Center' clearly displayed on one side.
I started to feel my heart breaking all over again, and I felt I was going to cry that instant. I couldn't look ahead, I immediately looked to my right and closed my eyes...I just couldn't bear to see that building again!
The last time I passed by that street and building was the night of June 20th, 2011...just one night before my dad passed a…

Three Weeks Worth Blogging About

Hello!

I haven't blogged in 18 days, but so much has been going on in my life...where should I start?!..

Well, over Easter I traveled to Lebanon.
I love this country for so many reasons! For one, I'm half Lebanese, so Lebanon is my second home. I've lived 4 amazing years of my life in Lebanon where I attended university over there and met the most amazing best friends who became my family away from home.
My Easter break was great! It was fun filled, and most importantly I got to see my best friends and spend time with them!

After the break was over, I returned back to reality...back to work...back to the boring routine life...
However, over the past two weeks I've been getting great news at work!

April 19th started as any normal, long boring Thursday...I've even tweeted "I'm falling asleeeeeeeepppp at the office! When will this day be over?!". But, a few hours after that, I was busy working on a certain task, when my colleague suddenly looked at me wi…

All For Nothing!

Last weekend I decided to create a music mix to put into my car. Since my car can take MP3, I created an MP3 on a DVD disk, to play in my car.

So, I got a 4.7 GB disk, and started filling it up with music. I was choosing my songs carefully, creating a real mix filled with rock, pop, alternative, hip-hop, rap and even opera and musicals! The CD could hold over 1000 songs since the capacity of the disk was so huge!

Anyway, I've spent two days, listening to songs on my laptop and copying them to the CD. After long, long, loooong hours, blurry teary eyes and lots of hard work, my 'Real Music Mix' was ready!

I jumped into my car and decided to try it.

I inserted the disk into the player....and suddenly the player threw it out...literally! I tried it again, but the same thing happened!
I almost broke down in my car...I've spent two days selecting the best 1000 or so songs, only to discover that my car doesn't really share my taste in music...

I guess I must have burned t…

It Was There All Along...

Whenever I'm in my car, I always have the radio on. But instead of having a certain favorite station,  I have a bunch of CDs with a mix of my favorite songs. My car can take up to 7 CDs, six in the player that goes into the trunk and the seventh is mp3 enabled, which is in the front.

Anyway, I spent all of last week searching for a certain CD, that I haven't listened to in months, and I was so sure I had in my car...I looked everywhere (well, almost everywhere), I searched the CD case in the glove compartment and all the other compartments in the car, but I couldn't find it. Then, I started to doubt myself...I started to wonder if I actually had the CD, or if I was just imagining that I made that mix...or maybe the songs were only in my iPod and I thought I had them on a CD....I felt like I was going crazy!
So the week passed by, and I 'settled' to listening to my other CDs, even though I really wanted to listen to the missing mix....
Well, today, I was driving to …
